Paws & Heroes
In recognition and celebration of the Rick Hansen 25th Anniversary Relay, the Library is pleased to present this special event made possible through partnership with the Town of Orangeville Fire Department and Theraputic Paws of Canada.
Meet a local firefighting hero who will share a story about a little girl who uses a wheelchair but does not see the limitations, only the adventures that could happen.
Meet four-legged heroes, too! Meet some certified therapy dogs and their handlers from Therapeutic Paws of Canada. Learn about the important work that these wonderful volunteers accomplish. The medical establishment acknowledges the importance of therapy dog programs that accelerate the recovery of people following surgery. These mild-tempered heroes make an impact on seniors through scheduled visits and boost the confidence of children who attend the Paws To Read ® Program at the Library.
Admission is free. No registration is required.
