New Public Services Co-ordinator
Kathryn Creelman is the new Public Services Co-ordinator at the Orangeville Public Library, effective July 9, 2012. Ms. Creelman is well known in the community, having served as the Manager of Public Relations and Communications at the Headwaters Health Care Centre for five years, and more recently as the Executive Assistant to Dufferin-Caledon MPP Sylvia Jones for five years. Prior to those roles, Ms. Creelman was a Senior Associate at Hill & Knowlton in Toronto, Chief of Staff to the Solicitor General and the Minister of Correctional Services, a Senior Policy Analyst at the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, and an Information Specialist at CIBC Corporate Information Centre.
A graduate of Queen's University, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and political science, Ms. Creelman also holds a Masters degree in library and information science from the University of Toronto. Ms. Creelman has been very active and involved in community organizations over the years. She is married to Regional Senior Justice of the Peace John Creelman and they have one daughter, Katie.
"Kathryn is going to be an excellent fit to the leadership team at the library," said Chief Librarian Darla Fraser. "Her extensive knowledge of the local community and of provincial and municipal government, along with her strong customer service experience, makes her the perfect candidate for this position. She has been a loyal and long-time supporter of the Orangeville Public Library. The library will benefit from her experience and we will move our services forward to meet the community's emerging needs."
