Children's Collection

Read, Listen, Watch & Learn

The Orangeville Public Library has a great selection of books, movies, magazines, music and much more for kids of all reading levels and abilities.

Audiobooks

Audiobooks are fiction and/or non-fiction books being read aloud on CD. You may enjoy listening to the book at home, in the car, or on the go. Great for long car trips! 

Books

There are many different kinds of books available. We have fiction and non-fiction, atlases, encyclopedias, dictionaries, large print, junior fiction, picture books, and easy readers, just to name a few.

CD Kits

CD kits are stories recorded on compact disc, including a book so that you may listen to the story and read along.

AudioBookCloud - an online audiobook collection featuring a dedicated children's section

PebbleGo - an award-winning pre-K to grade 3 resource for reading and research

TumbleBookLibrary - story books, read-alongs, non-fiction, puzzles & games, and more

TumbleBookCloud Jr. - for elementary school aged readers

Magazines

The Library has an assortment of magazines for kids.

Movies

DVD Movies and DVD Sets are available at no charge, as long as they are returned on time, undamaged, and with all the pieces. 

Please note: Overdue movies cost $1.50 per day, per movie.

5 DVDs may be borrowed for 7 days on a person's library card at one time. 5 DVD Sets may be borrowed for 28 days on a person's library card at one time. Some movies are age restricted. The Library will not loan movies to kids unless they are old enough to view the movie, according to the movie ratings.

Music CDs

There are a variety of children's music and entertainment on CD. 10 music CDs may be borrowed on a person's library card at one time.
