About Child & Teen Services
Child & Teen Services is responsible for the planning, management and delivery of library services to children and teens in the community, including:
- Child and Teen collection development (selection and purchase of library materials and resources)
- Organizing and displaying the children's collection in an easy to use, appropriate manner to ensure enjoyable and convenient use of library resources
- Creating an inviting, all-inclusive and accessible environment
- Designing and delivering a wide range of programs and services to children and teens to engender a love of reading, literacy and life-long learning
- Maintaining a strong and active presence in the community
The Child & Teen Services Manager acts as an advocate within the Library and the community for children, parents, caregivers, and other adults who use the resources of the department.
