Library Account Number

Your library account number (sometimes referred to as a barcode number) appears below the barcode on the front of your library card. It is a unique 14 digit code number that identifies you in the Library's automated computer system.

There are a number of ways you may access your library account.

  • Online (library account number and a P.I.N. required) from any computer with Internet access
  • Using the Library's Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC), also known as the Computer Catalogue
  • Visit either location and present your library card at the Information or Circulation desks
  • Telephone the Circulation desk at either library location during regular operating hours (library account number required)

Personal Indentification Number (P.I.N.)

A Personal Indentification Number (P.I.N.) is a unique four digit code that ensures only you can access your account information. It is a security measure in place to protect your privacy and information.

Setting up a P.I.N.

To set up a P.I.N., please contact or visit the Information or Circulation Desk at either library location. A P.I.N. may be set up by the cardholder or, if the cardholder is a child under 14 years of age, by the parent/guardian who has signing authority for the child's library account. Please have your library card handy as you will be asked for your 14-digit account number which appears below the barcode on the front of your library card.
