Accessing the Library & Library Services
To provide a barrier free environment, the Orangeville Public Library has equipped both the Mill Street Library and the Alder Street Branch facilities with:
- Reserved wheelchair parking close to the main Mill Street entrance to the library
- Flush curbs
- Automatic door openers
- Elevator/lift access to all levels
- Accessible shelving and aisles widths
- Staff available to assist handling and locating library materials
- Internet workstation wheelchair accessible
- TTY phone access - Mill St. TTY 519-942-0517 / Alder St. TTY 519-943-0838
The Orangeville Public Library's collection is designed to be accessible to and to meet the needs of the community. It includes both adult and junior fiction and non-fiction titles, in the following formats:
- Regular print
- Large print
- French language material
- Audio books on CD and cassette tape
- Book/cassette kits
- Closed caption videos and DVDs
To further enhance accessibility to the collection, the library offers:
- Online Catalogue
- Interlibrary loan service
- Website accessibility
